Lived in Ellicott City in Howard County for 10 years and loved it. It’s not an inexpensive place to live but neither is Annapolis which is great as well. What is your definition of cool? A condo or townhome in downtown Baltimore is cool if you can afford it. In reality most of the great places to live are highly expensive. If cool is a smaller town with a great little downtown life, than Frederick MD could fit the bill and not be as expensive. But in Baltimore City, Howard County, or the Annapolis area of Arundel County you will pay top dollar for a home or apartment. Montgomery County in MD also encompasses Bethesda, Chevy Chase and Potomac and their proximity to DC makes them a hot spot but again very expensive areas to live in.

I live an hour away from Annapolis>>>>it is a beautiful city filled with historic sights and has a close proximity to D.C. , Baltimore and NYC.
I have also been to London >>>I stayed there for a month and didn’t want to come home! London is fabulous, historic, cosmopolitan etc….the only downside is the expense!

I went to the United States as a tourist but i decided to study.I went to live with family friend.The deal was to live in, work and study.
I was taking care of two children,a four year old autistic boy, and a three years old girl.The boy was non verbal and couldn’t use the bathroom so i had to change him all the time, he had other problems, such as a special diet (i had to make special juice out of young coconuts, make green vegies kept in jars) and he was putting everything in his mouth so i had to keep him away from everything.
I was working from 7 in the morning till 11 in the night from Monday to Suturday.
I had to live in a room without a window and without heat.(I was working from December till May)
My salary was US 250,00 and i was paying for my food, doing the houswork (cleaning the whole house).I had no previous experience.
I left and returned to Greece where i’m working but since i had no idea of a nanny salary, i’m asking you.
Please help me.I
