Arraynot found.Who should I contact to get advice about how to help my depressed, overweight, proud mother that is addicted to nicotine? I'm looking for someone that can advise my family on how to take action to make my mother healthy again....

There should be a network of family assistance professionals who can manage the situation and separate issues independantly. The family G.P. will refer your proud mum to these people….it is wonderful that she is proud, that will make things progress alot smoother. Good luck and persevere with the possible endless phonecalls you’ll have to make, it will be thoroughly worth it.
You could ask your Dad if he is around. If not, ask a close relative your mom respects, or a church minister, or call the local American Cancer Society for some guidance. It’s difficult to stop, but could be life-saving, preventing both lung cancer and emphysema.
