Brak Wants To Know, “are You Afraid To Drive Over A Suspension Bridge”?
Arraynot found. In light of the Minneapolis bridge collapsing.
Does it make you nervous driving on larger bridges that are long and go up real high like the Chesapeake bay bridge fron Kent Island to Annapolis, MD.
I used to drive on the Bay Bridge in Maryland a lot and it didn't bother me. I'd take that bridge g
oing to ocean city, md.
I also took the Delaware memorial Bridge to Atlantic city and that was a high bridge too.

yes! it has always bothered me and now since seeing the bridge in Minneapolis just made my fear even worse!
no, but i am afraid of red haired girls. They claw up my back too much
The bridge in Minneapolis was not a suspension bridge. There is a picture on this page, showing it is a deck on top of steel arches.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I-35W_Bridg…
I never thought about it until today.
It’s never bothered me before and it probably won’t after this catastrophe.
Driving over bridges is a necessity.
There’s nothing I can do to prevent a hazard of that magnitude.
So I don’t think about it.
Once you pull out of your driveway, you’re putting your life at risk.
Well I live 90 miles from this bridgehttp://www.wunderground.com/data/wximage…http://www.guicide.com/vacations/ontario…
And I travel it pretty often.
If you look close at this picture, you will see it is a 4 lane bridge
The middle lanes are metal grading – not really motorcycle friendly, you can feel the car sway when driving over ithttp://blogs.indiewire.com/twhalliii/arc…
Wow I have never talked to a celebrity like you Brak. I guess I am not afraid to drive over bridges in general or suspension bridges specifically. I live in Michigan and have traveled the Mackinac Bridge many times and have even walked it once on Labor day. We have a few other bridges here as well and they all seem to be doing fine, even the Ambassador Bridge from Detroit to Windsor is holding up despite the city falling apart around it.
it doesnt bother me at all. how many stories per year do we hear about bridges falling down. not many…
I first tried driving over the Bay Bridge in 2001. I was very nervous about it the first time. But once I started driving on the bridge for the first time, it was just like driving on the Key bridge near Baltimore. That bridge is just as high but not as long. I first tried that a week after I got my drivers license. Once I was at the top of the bridge, I felt triumphant. I felt more relaxed that I got over the bridge that many people get nervous about. Now I can take on any tall bridge.
